1.    the same as----the same          

Both of them have the same meaning = dua-duanya memiliki arti yang sama

But (to be) the same as  is used between two nouns compared = tetapi (to be) the same as digunakan di antara dua kata benda yang dibandingkan.       

And (to be) the same  is used after the two nouns or a plural noun = dan (to be) the same digunakan setelah dua kata benda atau sebuah kata benda jamak

2.    similar to----similar         

 Both of them have the same meaning, but (to be) similar to  is used between two nouns or a plural nouns

Dua-duanya memiliki arti yang sama, tapi (to be) similar to digunakan antara dua kata benda atau kata benda jamak

3.    like---alike

 (to be/intransitive verb) like = between two nouns=antara dua kata benda

(to be) alike = after the two nouns=setelah kedua kata benda

4.    Specific Similarity

a.   the same… as for quality noun (length, width, height, price, age, color, size, style, weight)

b.      as … as for quality adjectives (big, cheap, cold, long, little, old, hard, heavy, large, short, young, etc)

5.    different from----different

different from=between two nouns

different=after two nouns

To differ from (it is a  verb) ex: my phone differs from yours.
